This holiday season, we’re continuing our support of Toys for Tots by serving as a drop-off location!

We invite you to help their efforts to deliver hope to less fortunate children in our community.

Toys for Tots Donation Guidelines

(Taken from the Toys for Tots Standing Operating Procedures)

  1. Toys that can be donated
    • New and un-wrapped
      • Since 1980, Marines have collected and distributed only new, unwrapped toys. The reasons: Marines do not have time to refurbish used toys; and there could be legal ramifications should the program distribute dangerous or dirty toys that could cause injury or illness to a child. Lastly, one of the Marine Corps’ principal goals for the Toys for Tots program is to send a message of hope for the future to needy children. The best way to accomplish this goal is through a shiny, new toy, or a new, exciting book to read. This goal cannot be accomplished through “hand-me-down” toys.
      • Toys should be unwrapped to enable coordinators and volunteers to determine that the gift is safe for distribution and to identify the appropriate age and gender for each gift.
    • Preferably around the $10 or above price range
    • Homemade toys are also accepted  (From the SOP: “Toy makers must understand the requirement that homemade toys be safe: no small parts; rounded edges; lead-free paint; minimal moving parts that could cause injury; etc.”)
  2. Toys that are NOT allowed
    • Used toys
    • Toys that look like realistic weapons
    • Toys with candy or food
    • Toys with chemicals (i.e., experimental labs, acid, crystal projects, etc.)
  3. Ages of children that are eligible to receive toys
    • Ages 0 up to 12 years
  4. Monetary donations
    • Monetary and online donations can be given directly to the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation on their website: Make a Donation ->
