The district includes the City of Altoona, the townships of Allegheny and Logan and the borough of Tunnelhill. For the 2025-26 session, Lou serves on the Environmental and Natural Resource Protection, Insurance and Transportation committees.

Lou’s top priority is to create greater economic opportunities for residents and employers of the 79th Legislative District by supporting and advancing legislation that cuts through the red tape, encourages job creation and keeps companies from moving out of state.

Judge Wade Kagarise has served on the Blair County Court of Common Pleas since January 2014.  Judge Kagarise has been the President Judge of this Court since January 2024.  As a Judge on the Court of Common Pleas, Judge Kagarise presides over all types of disputes that come before the Court of Common Pleas which include criminal matters, family law matters and civil law matters.
